28 Cartons Of Fake Drugs Confiscated By Kano Traffic Agency

In a press statement signed by the Spokesman of Kano Road and Traffic Agency (KAROTA) Nabilusi Abubakar Kofar Na’isa, said it has confiscated 28 huge cartons of suspected fake drugs imported into the state without NAFDAC Registration number.
The statement reported that the store, located along Airport Road by Murtala Muhammad Way was raided and the drugs recovered.
He explained that the seizure came after intelligent gathering by men of the Agency that uncertified and highly abused drugs were smuggled to the state and stored by some expatriates.

The statement said owners of the store and fake drugs were handed over to the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and the case is still under investigation.
The Agency however warned that it will continue to do everything necessary and within its jurisdiction to prevent irregularities and breaching of law and order on the state’s roads.
Kano Road and Traffic Agency (KAROTA is part of the State’s Task Force Agency against Drug abuse and Supply of Hard or Contraband Drugs.
