Dumped Ex-Hubby Of Duchess Of Sussex Still Licking His Wounds

Duchess Of Sussex’s ex-husband Trevor Engelson is rumored to be still hurting badly by their split – and may spill the beans any time so soon, her long-estranged sister, Samantha Markle, has warned.

On the Duchess of Sussex’s 37th birthday, Samantha claimed filmed director Trevor was gutted by the end of their 18-month marriage in 2013 and has privately been slating her to friends – but hasn’t wanted to go public just yet over fears he’d jeopardise his career in Hollywood.

“He said he was devastated, that he felt like a piece of gum at the bottom of his shoe,” Samantha revealed today, adding that he has “slammed” his ex-wife.

Up until now, Trevor has chosen to remain silent about his marriage to one of the world’s most famous women – but might not for much longer.

Close friends believe the couple split because of their long-distance relationship – she was in Toronto while he remained in Los Angeles.

“I think because Meg and Harry were inviting half of Hollywood to their wedding, he didn’t want to stigmatise himself or his project knowing the political pull that it would have in the industry,” Samantha continued to the Sun .

“So I think at one point he thought, ‘Maybe I just better lay low.'”

Trevor has been working on a new TV project with bizarrely coincidental parallels to his ex’s new life, complete with a divorcee who remarries a British prince after a fairytale romance.

But while it was reported Trevor had put the pilot episode on hold in the run-up to Prince Harry and Meghan’s royal wedding , Samantha claims he wouldn’t “back down” on the show just because of his ex-wife’s new position in the royal family.
