Emir Of Kano Responds To Allegation Of N3.4bn loot

At last, Emir of Kano, Mallam Muhammadu Sanusi II, has responded to the query issued to him by the Kano State Government through the office of the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Alhaji Usman Alhaji.

Recall that Kano State Government had on Thursday queried Sanusi over alleged misappropriation of N3.4bn by the Kano Emirate Council.

The Emir in a letter signed by Abba Yusuf, acting secretary of Kano Emirate Council on Saturday said that the said the amount was just over N1.8 billion which he inherited from the coffers of the Emirate Council.

The Media Aide to Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, who announced this confirmed that the letter containing the reply by Sanusi was received within the stipulated time frame of 48 hours as stated in the query.

Said he: “The Kano Emirate Council has officially responded to the query issued to Emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi II by the Kano State Government through the office of the SSG Alhaji Usman Alhaji. The letter was received within the stipulated time frame of 48hrs as stated in the query.”
