Chika Nwokedi, the new kid on the block in Imo politics, finally declared his intention to take power from the APC led administration in Imo state.
At the a fully parked press conference held in his office in Ajiroba plaza in Ijegun area of Lagos, he told curious journalist that he has a divine mandate to take power legitimately from the Rochas Okorocha led government of Imo state.
He called himself the biblical David who came to rescue Israel from the hand of an oppressive and disobedient king Saul. He quoted copiously from the book of Samuel in the holy bible, to support his claim of divine mandate to rule a much troubled Imo State.
Nwokedi went on to say that he will turn Imo State to a first rated state in terms of economic and infrastructural development, if elected to govern his beloved people of Imo State.
The latest governorship candidate of Imo State advices fellow aspirants not see the race as a do-or-die affair. According to him “We are all aspiring to serve the State and make it better for both investors and residency”
If grassroots popularity is the currency to win election it will be safe to say that High Chief Chika Nwokedi will be the man to beat in the forthcoming Imo State governorship election
