Ilorin based Pastor Busola Olotu has spoken out to give credence to the rape allegation leveled against COZA’s Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, by songster Timi Dakolo’s wife, Biola.
Pastor(Mrs) Olotu in an Arise Television interview anchored by ace broadcaster Adesua Onyenokwe said Biola Dakolo had spoken to her about the rape incident a few years ago, when she had visited her for counseling on the recommendation of her sibling, who was her church member.
Asked if she believed the story she was told as true since she did not witness the incident, she said “ I believe the narrative that Biola gave me about the incident to be true, though Pastor Fatoyinbo did not strike me as someone who could commit such an act, from my encounter with him before the incident.”
Another Ilorin based pastor, Emmanuel Osie, General overseer of Canaan International Ministries, who admitted that he had ordained Fatoyinbo into ministry many years ago in Ilorin, while speaking in same interview programme admitted that Pastor Olotu had called her on telephone to, “share the sad story with me.”
He said Mrs. Olotu had after narrating Biola’s story requested that he should call Pastor Fatoyinbo to find out what had happened, which he actually did, but Fatoyinbo did not keep his promise to get back to him on the matter.
Biola, a mother of three had recently made a shocking revelation in a detailed interview with Chude Jideonwo, a lawyer and journalist on YNaija channel of how Abuja-based cleric, Pastor Fatoyinbo, raped her as a teenager.
The viral video report had set social media and other online platforms on fire, evoking shock, backlash and criticism from Nigerians, especially the Christian community.
