Nigeria’s Senate Chief Whip and former governor of Abia State, Orji Kalu, has assured party faithfuls that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will wax stronger nationwide in 2023.
Kalu gave the assurance on Thursday at Igbere his country home, when he welcomed thousands of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) faithfuls into the APC.
He said he was receiving them on behalf of the State Chairman, Donatus Nwankpa, and the National Caretaker Committee Chairman, Governor Mai Buni.
He urged them to work for the party’s victory in the next general elections, explaining that APC is a disciplined party that will never compromise the welfare of the citizens.
“We are a party that encourages people to pay workers’ salaries, pensions, build roads and take care of society. Our business is to think and work toward the welfare of Abia, Imo, Enugu, Ebonyi, Anambra people and Nigerians.”
“Today is a remarkable day. I welcome you to this great party, which is for all Nigerians. We believe that this party will make all of us proud. The party believes in the rule of law; it believes things should be done well and believes in Nigerians,” Kalu argued.
