Masari Pledges To Protect Corps Members Serving In Katsina

Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari has assured youth corps members serving in Katsina State of special protection.

This is even as security concern in the state grows in the background of current onslaught against bandits, in the Northwest region.

The Governor, who gave the assurance in Government House, Katsina, while receiving visiting NYSC Director-General, Brigadier-General Shuaibu Ibrahim who visited him at the Government House, Katsina, also commended the existing cordial relationship between the state government and the scheme and thanked the Director-General for the visit.

He said: “I will continue to do my best to ensure that the corps members are protected anywhere they are in the state.

“It is the responsibility of the government to ensure that the corps members are provided with the enabling environment to operate in the state, I will continue to support the NYSC.”

He also announced the state government’s decision to make COVID-19 vaccines available for the corps members deployed to the state.

The NYSC boss said he came to thank the governor for taking care of the Corps members deployed to the state.

General Ibrahim reiterated that the NYSC will continue to provide the state with the required number of Corps personnel to augment its manpower needs.

The D-G appreciated the Governor for providing a good orientation camp for Borno State to host their Corps members in Katsina.

The State NYSC Coordinator NYSC, Alhaji Ahidjo Yahaya thanked the governor for his continued assistance and solidarity to the scheme in the state.
