More Trouble For Amaechi, As Reps Transport Committee Summon Him

Says He Has Corruption Allegations To Answer

Barely a week after the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi was booed and silenced at a town hall meeting held in Abuja, the House of Representatives Committee on Land Transport has summoned him to answer to various allegations of corruption made against him.

Chairman of the committee, Abdulmumin Jibrin, told Channels Television, in a monitored programme on Thursday in Abuja, that the minister was summoned to appear before the committee over allegations of corruption and breach of process.

Jubril said the committee has received a lot of allegations from credible sources against the minister and wants to investigate the issues raised.

He stated that the lawmakers after a meeting of the committee, felt compelled to let that Nigerians should know about the things that public servants were doing behind the scene.
