The president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Ejezie Emeka Rollas confirmed his death on Thursday afternoon.
The cause of his death is yet to be established.
His colleagues have flooded the internet with condolence messages.
Obiago who has featured in many movies is better known as Daddy Sam.
