SANWO-OLU LET THE GOODIES REACH EVERY LAGOSIAN

By Okee Sydney-Obiukwu

Is it morally right for Lagos State Government to provide food and cash for indigenes to the exclusion of other tax payers, who are non indigenes resident in the state.

Please, I just need objective answers, no name calling and no casting of unnecessary aspersions.

Is the state government saying that only indigenes of Lagos State are experiencing hunger that the lockdown has engendered? Or are they implying that indigenes pay more or higher taxes in Lagos State?

It is very imperative for the state to fix this seemingly thoughtless act that may right after this coronavirus crisis, discourage hitherto faithful tax payers who are non indigenes from continuing payment of their taxes without feeling a sense of inequity?

This is a very wrongheaded state crisis management approach that if not corrected right away will leave a wound to deep to heal after we have fully recovered from the coronavirus pandemic.

The governor must recognize that most Nigerians are today hungry irrespective of tribe, religion or social status.

This is a terribly wrong time to show any form of discrimination against anybody and anywhere in the country. I am done!
