Service Chiefs: Ohanaeze Youth praises Tinubu says better days ahead

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, the premier Igbo socio-cultural organization, praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for naming an Igbo son as one of the Service Chiefs and predicted good things to come.

The pan-Igbo socio-political organization claimed that Tinubu’s selection would advance everyone’s interests and that he has good plans for the nation.

On Monday, Tinubu fired the Service Chiefs and named their replacements.

In a statement on Tuesday, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, the national president of the Igbo organization, claimed that Tinubu had made the brave move toward national reconciliation that he had promised the people.

“For eight years, we cried and shouted at the top of our lungs that no Igbo man is among the top security echelons of the country,” he stated. However, the previous President Muhammadu Buhari showed little sign of listening.

“He made sure that Ndigbo were totally subjugated under his administration. However, just within a few days in power, President Tinubu has demonstrated total readiness to right those wrongs.”

Okwu said the appointment of Ogalla from Enugu State “is a clear testimony to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s desire to reunite the country. The immediate past administration handed over to him a very fragmented country like never before.

“However, Mr President’s actions so far have given hope to Nigerians that good things are ahead. This also came a few days after our own Frank Mba, another proud Igbo son, was promoted from AIG to DIG of police.”

He urged Ndigbo to give the Tinubu government maximum support, stressing that, “we are certain he has good plans for the country and will carry everyone along.”
