Yuletide Travels: Railways Increase Number Of Lagos-Ibadan Train Trips

By Sola Adeyemi

Bracing up to the anticipated upsurge in the number of passengers during the Yuletide season, the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has increased the number of train trips between Lagos and Ibadan to four times daily with effect from Monday.

The arrangement will operate for three weeks to accommodate expected increase in number of passengers.

NRC’s Lagos District Manager, Mr Jerry Oche, stated in Lagos on Sunday that trains would operate from 8 a.m. from Dec. 20 to 4 p.m. on Jan. 9.

He explained that the increase in the number of trips would further decongest road traffic.

Oche pleaded with passengers to board the trains with maximum of 12kg luggage.
