Barring the last-minute change, the former Governor of Plateau State and current Minister of Labour and Employment, Simon Lalong may resign from the cabinet of President Bola Tinubu.
Lalong, received his Certificate of Return as Senator-Elect for Plateau South in the 10th National Assembly.
A National Commissioner with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mohammed Haruna, presented the certificate to Lalong at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja on Thursday.
TheNIgeriaLawyer recalls that the Court of Appeal recently sacked People’s Democratic Party’s Bali Napoleon and declared Lalong as the Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial district.
The three-man panel of the Appeal Court led by Justice Williams Daudu affirmed the decision of the Tribunal regarding the election’s outcome.
