Yaba Tech Registrar Awarded NITAD Fellowship

The Registrar and Secretary to the Governing Council of Yaba College of Technology (Yaba Tech) Dr. Sikiru Olukayode Momodu was recently conferred a fellowship award of the Nigerian Institute of Training and Development (NITAD), in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the field of learning and development in Nigeria.

NITAD is a professional body of learning and development practitioners, registered in Nigeria to promote the science and practice of training, learning and development nationwide.

The professional development activities of NITAD are aimed at facilitating the exchange of knowledge, skills and experience for those engaged in training and development and aimed at achieving better utilization of human ability and potential in business, industry and government.

The institute has more than 10,000 individual and 1,000 corporate members.

In her welcome address of, President of NITAD Mrs. Ayoade Igbeyi, noted that this year fellows’ investiture is a landmark in the annals of NITAD industry.

According to her, NITAD is a well sought after institute, a brand we should be proud of, as we have been in existence in the past 32 years, the institute that is proud to parade all professions in learning and development.

Momodu, has used his position and knowledge in the Nigerian premier institute to advance the course of training in his environment.

He is an astute and committed trainer; he remains the fulcrum of training and development by mobilizing and expanding the principles and fundamentals of training for both staff and students.

He has contributed immensely to development of talents. He is a trainer, a mentor, a coach and a leader.

The Registrar is a thorough bred training and development practitioner and has been trained through many institutions he has attended and he in turn has been training many by virtue of his position.

Momodu and other 41 distinguished Nigerians are the new fellows of NITAD.
